Kuala Lumpur, 18 July 2026 – The Master of Accounting Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti has once again achieved a proud milestone at the international level. Dr. Sekar Mayangsari, Ak., CA., CMA. has been appointed as Vice President of the ASEAN Accounting Education Workgroup (AAEW) for the 2026–2029 term.

The appointment of the new office bearers took place during the 19th ASEAN Accounting Education Workgroup Meeting, held at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 18 July 2026. The meeting was part of the ASEAN Accounting Educators Summit 2026, which brought together accounting academics and educators from across the ASEAN region.

AAEW is a regional forum that facilitates collaboration among accounting educators in ASEAN countries. It plays an important role in strengthening cooperation among higher education institutions, promoting knowledge exchange, supporting educational and research development, and advancing the quality of accounting education throughout the region.

Dr. Sekar Mayangsari’s appointment as Vice President of AAEW is a great honour and a source of pride for the Master of Accounting Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti, as well as for Indonesia. This achievement reflects international recognition of the expertise, experience, and contributions of Indonesian academics to the advancement of accounting education at the regional level.
